I am an artist, academic and photographer with more than 30 years of experience in the making, directing and teaching of photography, fine art and fashion communication. My qualifications include a master’s degree in photography a postgraduate certificate in further education and a teaching fellowship in higher education (FHEA).
During my time in the university sector, I acted as a principal lecturer and senior academic as well as an internal moderator for the University of the Arts London, assuring the quality of assessment across other centres.
As a photographer and artist, my work has taken the form of commissioned documentaries, editorial fashion, advertising, portraiture, underwater work and studio-based practices. I have a particular fascination with the creative application of electronic lighting, being naturally drawn to commissions of this nature.
My work has seen commercial publications in a range of national and international publications and awards including the Sunday Times, 125 Magazine, The AOP and a selection of Fashion Editorials.
I am currently open to commission as the director of my new venture, ‘Studio Roost’ a grand Edwardian photography studio in Bournemouth where I can work on commercial and personal projects whilst offering workspace and studio rental.
